Weldon 'Don' E. Bishop

Weldon (Don) Eugene Bishop, 71 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019. Don was born on December 17, 1947 in Henderson, Texas to the late Welton and Hazel (Champlin) Bishop.  Don is a Veteran of The United States Army and proudly served his county during the Vietnam War. Don professed his life to Christ at an early age. His family moved to Houston, Texas and joined a local church. He loved working in the church and cherished praising the Lord. He was on several committees, always enjoying helping others. He served as a volunteer at the KHCB radio station for many years until his health prevented his service. Don loved to read his bible, praying for and with others, laughing and always wearing a smile on his face. He was a loving and caring person with many friends who were like family to him. Don leaves behind three children, Joshua Bishop, Danna Heaton and Cinnamon Dixon. Two brothers, Ronnie and Kenneth Bishop. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Bishop. Don will be greatly missed by all of those that loved him. A graveside will be held at Houston National Cemetery,10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at (gate time) at 10:45 am. YOU MUST BE PROMPT FOR THE GATE TIME TO ATTEND SERVICES.
