Velma McCoy

Velma Christine McCoy, affectionately known as Chris, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Spring, Texas, at the age of 72.

Chris was born on April 24, 1953, in Deming, New Mexico, to William W. Graves and Margaret R. Graves, both of whom preceded her in death.

Chris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally, and her life was centered around caring for those she loved. Known for her thoughtful nature and gentle heart, Chris always put others before herself and was a steady source of love and support to her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn D. (Don) McCoy Jr. her mother-in-law, Betty McCoy; her daughter, Deana Magee, and son-in-law Chad Magee; her grandchildren, Colton Clifton, Reagan Reineke (Keith), and Logan Cole (Brandon); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jaicee, Charlee, Bexlee, and Bowen. She is also survived by her son, Glenn D. McCoy III (Trey).

Additional survivors include her sister, Darlene Ezell (Steve); her niece, Candie J. Kapanowski (Mark); her brothers-in-law, Chuck McCoy (Debbie) and Mike McCoy (Heather); along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
