Tony Andrew Johnson was born November 11, 1962, in Houston TX to Naomi Evelyn Johnson and John Andrew Reagins. He peacefully passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 63 years old. Tony spent his elementary school years at James Bowie Elementary, then he attended Lamar Fleming Middle School. Upon leaving middle school, Tony attended Douglas MacArthur High School where he participated in multiple sports but excelled in basketball, the sport he loved most!
Tony worked as a highly skilled construction and contractor laborer for several years on various projects showcasing his talents and skills. He had a zest for life that was contagious with a warm smile and compassionate spirit, bringing joy and laughter to anyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Tony is remembered not only for his kind nature but also his unwavering support of his family, friends and neighbors. He created a strong network of love and friendship that will not be forgotten. Tony is preceded in death by his parents Naomi and John Andrew, brother Keith [Sluggo], sisters Michele [Chele] and LaTour [Tour]. His legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and an enduring love for life. He leaves to cherish in his memories his children, LuCreasy St. Amand (Terry), Brian Randle, Antonio Hill, Tony Hill and Jazmine Johnson, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish him his only nephews, Adrian [Black] and Xavier [Zay], his last 2 surviving aunts Rose Kennedy [Rose] and Danette Porter [Nette], along with a host of other family and friends
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at New Faith Unity Baptist Church, 7930 Lockwood Drive, Houston, Texas 77016.
