Sheila Broyles

June 20, 1950 — March 24, 2024

Sheila Jo Broyles, age 73, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home in Houston, Texas. 

She was born on June 20, 1950 in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Jack Walton and Helen Adeline (Hampton) Bailey.    She graduated from Pawhuska High School, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, in 1968.  She attended business school in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and was employed by Conoco.  She lived in Newkirk, Oklahoma, until 2004 when she moved to Spring, Texas.

On Dec. 17, 1973, Sheila married  Earl Claude Broyles in Oklahoma.  They later divorced.  They  had two daughters, Cindi Jo Broyles and Kati JuneAnn Broyles.  

Sheila enjoyed attending her girls' school concerts and sporting events.  She also enjoyed attending Church.  She was very proud of all of her grandchildren.  Sheila also enjoyed working with her hands by crocheting and knitting.  

Sheila was a citizen of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma and was proud of her heritage.  

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Helen Bailey, her brother, Freddie Perry Bailey, brother-in-law, Tony Warren, maternal grandparents, Fred and Ruth Adeline (Clay) Hampton.

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Cindi Jo Broyles, Tomball, Texas,  and Kati JuneAnn Broyles,
Newkirk, Oklahoma.

Grandchildren, Joseph Lynn Pappan, Edmond, Oklahoma,  Michael Perry Pappan, Tomball, Texas, Trista Rae Rhoads, Tomball, Texas, Cameron Ray Hind, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her sister, Jacqueline Ann (Bailey) Warren, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, niece Helen Marie Warren,  ,Kansas and nephew Derrick Lee Warren, Pawhuska, Oklahoma, uncle Alfred Frederick Hampton and wife, Janet, Chanute, Kansas. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 7:00 pm at Family First Cremation Services, 3723 Spring Stuebner Road, Suite D, Spring, Texas 77379.
