Rose McIvor Rebhun, age 85, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in the warm presence of her beloved husband, Dr. Herbert Rebhun, with whom she shared almost 65 years of love and partnership.
Born in Montrose, Scotland, on February 9, 1940, Rose’s remarkable journey led her to the United States when her family emigrated on November 9, 1954. Her path intertwined with Herbert’s on October 22, 1960, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, marking the beginning of a lifelong bond. In August 1977, Rose, Herbert, and their children embraced a new chapter by relocating to Houston, Texas, where their deep-rooted commitment to family and community flourished.
A devoted wife and an inspiring mother, Rose nurtured her family with unwavering love and compassion. She is survived by her children—Terry Murphy Nesch and spouse Terry, Douglas Rebhun and spouse Angela, and Robin Rebhun Hanna and late spouse Michael —along with eight grandchildren (Brittnie, Kortnie spouse Frank, Michael spouse Lindsay, Garrett, Grant, Ethan, Jack and Megan and Matt. Rose had four great-grandchildren (Hanah, Frankee, Evelyn and Adalynn), whose lives she enriched with her grace and kindness.
Beyond her cherished roles within the family, Rose was a talented entrepreneur who founded and operated the beloved floral arrangement business, Bonnie Silk Rose. Her creativity and dedication brought beauty and joy into the lives of many, reflecting a true passion for art and nature.
Rose’s life was a celebration of love, resilience, and creativity. Her legacy of warmth, compassion, and artistic vision will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory continue to blossom in every life she touched, and may she rest in eternal peace.
