Robert J. Minck passed away on June 10, 2025, in The Woodlands, Texas. Born on June 19, 1952, in Weehawken, New Jersey, he lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity and profound dedication to God, Guru, his family and community.
Bob earned his masters and bachelor’s from the University of Delaware and Dartmouth University respectively. His career afforded extensive worldwide travel and allowed him to meet diverse persons and experience their art and cultures.
He was admired for his remarkable personality. Bob was loving, faithful, intelligent, caring, loyal, humble, and funny—a man of many interests, ranging from military history and philosophy to original instrument classical music and sports. His extensive collection of books and magazines illustrated his lifelong pursuit of knowledge and reflected his diverse interests which included gardening, gaming, bird watching, and running. A devoted family man, he dedicated himself not only to his work but also to nurturing the minds of the young as a Sunday school teacher. His thoughtful preparation of lessons included the translation of complex concepts into relatable ideas leaving an indelible mark on those he taught.
Bob was the family gamemaster, cherished by his children and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews for his sense of humor and fair play. He was an enthusiastic coach and supporter of his sons in soccer and basketball, always present and encouraging. His legacy of love and guidance will remain a source of inspiration for his family and community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Corey; his brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Debbie Minck; and his two sons, Robert Douglas and wife Lisa S. Minck, and Raphael M. Minck. Bob also leaves behind six adoring grandchildren: Henry, Alice, Genesis, Abigail, Gabriela, and Nadia,
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert E. and Genevieve Minck, who undoubtedly shaped his character and values.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Minck Residence in Spring, Texas, on June 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember a remarkable individual who made each of us a better person for knowing him.
