Morris J. Bryant, 80, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on January 24, 2022. He was born on November 5, 1941 in Hamilton, Ohio as the fifth of seven children born to Roy and Emma Bryant who met and married in London, Kentucky. Morris is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill, sister Barbara, daughter Christy. In 1947 Roy and Emma relocated their family from Hamilton, Ohio to Pasadena, Texas where Roy worked as a supervisor at Champion Paper Mill. Morris graduated from Pasadena High School in 1960 and married his childhood sweetheart Linda Orr Bryant on September 1, 1961. Morris enjoyed a long, successful career in law enforcement from 1963-1996 working in various roles including Patrol, Motorcycles, Juvenile and Detective Divisions. He was a skilled marksman and won numerous awards. Morris retired with the rank of Sergeant after serving 33 years with the Pasadena Police Department. After retirement he assisted his wife Linda in their real estate business in Pasadena, Texas. Morris enjoyed spending time with his beloved family, especially his siblings and was always ready for a game of dominoes, cards, or horseshoes. He loved listening to music, and particularly enjoyed his son Charles’ songwriting, and his granddaughter Ashli’s singing. He enjoyed golfing, and also competing in archery and won numerous awards including participating in the National Senior Olympics for Archery. He had a great sense of humor and a storytelling ability that captured everyone’s attention. He had the brightest blue eyes that could light up any room. Morris touched many people’s lives and left a great impact on anyone who ever had the privilege of meeting him. He will be truly missed by many. Morris is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Bryant, and their children Charles and his wife Kathi, Michael, Beverly, and Caleb. Grandchildren: Ashli, Emily, Elizabeth, Evan, John, Dalton, Audry, Morgan, Mark, Nate, Brielle, and Zayne. Great Grandchildren: Hudson, Flynn, Sullivan, Penn and Shep. Siblings: Sue Grounds, Joetta Ethredge, Jean Higgins and brother-in-law Tom Higgins, Roy Bryant and sister-in-law Carolyn Bryant, sister-in-law Ann Bryant, and son-in-law Mark McLish, along with numerous adored nieces and nephews. A memorial for Morris will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church 1320 Scott Street Pasadena, Texas 77506.
