Martha Jo Richbourg

Martha Jo Richbourg, 86, of Spring, Texas was born to Cleburn Smelley and Verna Seelbach on August 20, 1933 in Cushing, Texas.  Martha was married to Bobby Hunnicutt for 17 years and Rufus Richbourg for 36 years, both preceded her in death. Martha served as a church secretary for many, many years for Spring Baptist Church and then Champion Forest Baptist Church. She was currently a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.  She loved serving others and always greeted you with a precious smile.  She trusted Christ as her savior as an adult and served Him faithfully.  She was a prayer warrior and loved spending time reading her Bible.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She loved cooking for and feeding her family and growing flowers. Martha is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Jo Lemons and husband, Keith and her son, Bobby Ray Hunnicutt, Jr.  She loved her precious granddaughters, Rebecca Curtis (Garett), Rachel Pankratz (Chuck) and Ruth Lemons (Patrick), and her great grand children, Walker, Calvin, Lexi, Charlotte, and Cayden. She will be sorely missed by her cousin, Carol Coleman and numerous friends. Martha is also survived by Rufus’ son, Bill Richbourg (predeceased by Tillie) and was predeceased by Robby Richbourg (Mary).  She loved her grandchildren, Debbie, Rodney, Kevin, Travis, Lisa, Lori, Joseph, and Betty Jo and numerous great grandchildren. Because of special restrictions of large gatherings, her service at this time will be a private, immediate family only graveside service on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, TX.   The family plans on having a memorial service at some time in the future but covets your prayers at 2:00 on Saturday.
