Robert McAdory, 69 years old, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at his son’s house in Spring, Texas. At the time of passing, Robert lived with his wife, Barbara, in Weslaco, Texas.

Robert, known to most as Bob, some as Bobby, and few as Dad, Daddy and Grandpa, was born December 14, 1952, in North Carolina at the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base to Doctor H and Edna McAdory. He attended Westbury High School in Houston ISD before joining the Marine Corps at the age of 21. Robert served four years in the Marine Corps working as an aviation electrician on F4 Phantom fighter/attack aircraft in Yuma, Arizona, and he received an honorable discharge at the rank of Corporal in 1978. After the Marines, Robert had several ventures in the private sector including his own crating for export shipment business. He also worked as an electrician for Texas Instruments before finding his calling in the flow measurement and instrumentation field in the oil and gas industry. Robert retired from Allesco in 2020. During his 38 years in the oil and gas industry Robert was friends with many and well respected by all, customers and colleagues alike.

In the 1980s, Robert brought two children into this world with Robin. In 2008, Robert met the love of his life, Barbara, and they married in 2014 in Houston, Texas. After retiring, they moved to Weslaco, Texas, where Robert enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, swimming, and spending time with his wife and friends. He loved to read and could often be found sitting on his front porch taking in the latest sci-fi novel. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, and a loving and caring person, using his dry wit to bring smiles and laughter to others.

In addition to his parents, Robert is predeceased by his sister, Nancy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara McAdory; sister, Pat Adams; children, Lee McAdory and his wife Sharon, Dorenda McAdory, Lisa Fowler and her husband Earl, and Joy Primoli; grandchildren, Jordan Bragg, Dayne Fowler, Dustin McAdory, Callee McAdory, and Ember Espinoza; and great-grandchild, Riley Bragg.

A service of remembrance will be held 1:30pm Friday, June 3 at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038, followed by a celebration of life at his son’s house, 4026 Northern Spruce Dr, Spring, TX 77386.
