Domingo Flores Serrano, conocido carinosamenta como Papi Mingo, nacio el 28 de marzo de 1931 en Caguas, Puerto Rico. Dedico su vida a ser un conductor de autobus dedicado y alegre, sirviendo a si comunidad con un Espiritu calido y Generoso. Fallecio el 21 de octubre de 2025 en Houston, Texas, dejando un legado de bondad y alegria. Papi Mingo era conocido por su alegria contagiosa y su capacidad para conreir a quines lo rodeaban. Vivio con humildad y siempre tuvo un espacio para los demas en su corazon. Papi mingo era de esas personas que se quitaban la comica para ayudar.Siempre dispuesto a ayudar o compartir risas, su pasion por la vida se refleja en su amor por cantar, especialmente su cancion favorita, “Que hermoso-es el amor”. Ademas de su naturaleza Carinosa, Papi Mingo apreciaba los placers sencillos de la vida. Disfrutaba pasar tiempo al aire libre, conversando con amigos y desconocidos, creando conexiones dondequiera que iba. Su actitud y calidez fueron palpables en todos los que lo conocieron, y afortunadamente dejo una huella imborrable en ellos. Le sobreviven su querida familia: sus hermanos Isabel Flores y Luis Flores, su hija Maria Delores Perez y su yerno Uzziel Perez, sus nietas Maria Cristina Perez y Kfila Perez-Lewis (Thomas Lewis) y su bisnieto Thomas Lewis, III, cada uno de ellos, llevan consigo el amor y la luz que les brindo y ahora lo recuerdan con carino. Se celebrara un servicio conmemorativo para celebrar su vida. En el Centro Familiar Casa de Restaurecion, en el 14724 FM 529, Houston, Texas 77095.

His easygoing demeanor and warmth were felt by everyone he met, and he made lasting impressions on those lucky enough to cross his path.
He is survived by his beloved family: his siblings Isabel Flores and Luis Flores, his daughter Maria Dolores Perez, son-in-law Uzziel Perez, granddaughters Maria Cristina Perez and Keila Perez-Lewis (Thomas Lewis), and great-grandson Thomas Lewis, III. Each of them carries forward the love and light he bestowed upon them and now remembers him fondly.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Domingo Flores-Serrano will be held on November 14, 2025, at Centro Familiar Casa de Restauración, 14724 FM 529, Houston, Texas 77095, at 7:00 PM. Family, friends, and all who were touched by Domingo's generous spirit are invited to join in honoring this remarkable man. His life may have been short, but his impact on those around him is sure to endure in cherished memories and shared moments of laughter.
