Christopher Leonel Tienda

Christopher Tienda, 29, of League City TX, passed away at home on Saturday, September 5, 2026, and is resting safely in the loving arms of his heavenly Father.

Christopher was born in Henderson TX on April 10, 1997, and is the cherished son of Oscar Leonel Tienda and Monica Browning Terry.

From the moment he came into the world, Christopher filled our lives with love, and he left behind a life that touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and caring for him. Although Christopher could not express himself with words, he communicated in beautiful ways with his smile, his expressions, his very presence, and the little moments that meant so much to those around him. Christopher was deeply loved and cared for, and he brought a special kind of joy and tenderness into the lives of his family, his caregivers, and everyone who knew him. He was such a blessing, and his life reminds us that love does not always need words for love to be felt. His presence mattered, and he will be missed beyond measure for the love that he gave and the memories he leaves behind. We thank God that Christopher was in our lives, and we rest in the knowledge that he now has a body that is completely healed and whole and is surrounded forever by the Lord’s love.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00am in Waldrop Cemetery, Fairplay TX with the Bro. Bill Kuykendall of Calvery Baptist Church Henderson TX officiating. The arrangements for the service are provided by Family First Funerals and Cremations, Magnolia TX.

Christopher is survived by his mother Monica Lynn Browning Terry and stepfather Ronnie Terry; his father Oscar Tienda and stepmother Nancy Tienda; his sisters Chelsea Tienda, Riley Terry, and Noelia Tienda; his brothers Oscar, Gabriel, and Ian Tienda; his paternal grandfather Oscar Tienda; and his maternal grandparents Sandra Turner Browning and Pat Browning. Christopher is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Maria Elena Tienda.

Memorials may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital in Galveston. Christopher’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses that have cared for Christopher throughout his life, especially Dr. Berens (PCP) and the medical team at Baylor Transition Clinic. Baylor Transition Clinic provided such wonderful care concerning Christopher’s special medical needs which have been significant, both in terms of time and intensity. We also wish to thank all the home health nurses and nursing agencies who have given such loving care to Christopher through the years.
