Bernice Faye Pichotta
Bernice Faye Burnes Pichotta of Conroe, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully at her daughters home on February 7, 2020. Bernice was born January 17, 1938 to Joe Wilson Burnes, Jr. and Pauline Faye Watson Burnes. Bernice married her husband, Kenneth in 1956 and moved their family to Conroe, Texas in 1966.
Bernice was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She enjoyed more than anything to spend time with her loved ones. She treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.
She spent the majority of her adult life as a nurse. Besides her devotion to others, Bernice loved spending time outdoors, reading, crocheting, and taking trips.
Bernice is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth Pichotta, her parents Joe Wilson Burnes, Jr., Pauline Faye Hanchey, and Merle Hanchey, sister Merle Jean Hanchey and grandson Jason Sturm.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Donald Hanchey (Bonnie) and David Hanchey; sisters Frances Boone (William), and Delores Cunningham (Cecil); Sons Phillip Pichotta (Pam), Michael Pichotta, and Larry Pichotta (Karen); daughter Linda Lee (Bruce); grandchildren Kenneth Pichotta (Tricia), Jessica Giutta (Logan), Kolby Pichotta (Brittany), Samantha Dorsey, Katie Pichotta, Kodey Pichotta, Cherie Hibbard (Patrick), Eric Pichotta, Holly Lilley, Luke Pichotta, Mark Shore (Kristin), Matthew Markert, Adrienne Prince (Steven), Amy Russell (Ryan); and 23 great-grandchildren she loved very much. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honoring Bernice are Bruce Lee, Steven Prince, Ryan Russell, Eric Pichotta, Luke Pichotta, Casey Hanchey, Danny McNeely, and Matthew Hughes.
Visitation will be held at 10am, with service starting at 11am on February 11, 2020 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 3967 Old 105 West, Conroe, Texas 77304, where Bernice was a member for 54 years.
Interment will be follow at Conroe Memorial Park, 1703 Porter Rd., Conroe, Texas 77301
