near his home in Houston. He was born to Perry Pride and Louise Wilson Pride in De Queen, Arkansas. He was proceeded in death by his parents and is survived by his sister Elizabeth Lloyd and her husband James Lloyd of Huntsville, Alabama, as well as one niece and several cousins. Ben attended public school in Idabel, Oklahoma before moving to the Houston area, where he graduated from La Marque High School and attended Rice University.
He had a long career as a librarian for several Houston law firms, principally Vinson and Elkins. In 2001 he accepted a position with the Harris County Law Library, where he worked until the time of his death. Ben was a precocious child who loved reading.
