Barbara Ann Skoll

September 14, 1951 — July 9, 2023

It is with profound sadness that the family of Barbara Ann Skoll announce her peaceful passing on July 9, 2023. Our beloved mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend is now fully healed and dancing with Jesus.

She will be remembered and missed by her daughter Robin {Brent}, her son David; her grandkids Corrie, Ellie and Alan; her brother Tom {Karen}, sister Gale {Dan}, and sister Sharon; nieces and nephews Taylor {Shawna}, Ashley, Andy {Karolina}, Melissa, Justin, Brendan, Nicole, Trevor, Joseph, Amanda, Rich, Zack and Sarah; sister in laws Amy, Ann {Steve}, Barbara {Ray}, and Debbie.

She entered the Gates of Heaven welcomed by her mother and father and her baby brother Donald.

Barbara loved finding peace, beauty, solitude, comfort, and adventure in the great outdoors. Hundreds of family memories were created in Ruidoso, Carlsbad Caverns, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Estes Park, and Galveston Beach. She even got to enjoy camping with her grandkids at Martin Dies Park. Her daughter was able to join her on hikes through the Blue Ridge Mountains with baby black bear cubs when she worked in the Shenandoah National Park. Barbara also loved arts and crafts, one that she shared with her kids and grandkids. There was always an abundance of painting, coloring, creating, and sewing activities in every environment she entered. She led Brownies and Girl Scouts, taught at Mother’s Day Out, was the math testing aide at Riverwood Middle School and the library assistant at Cooper Elementary (where her daughter taught). She volunteered in the church nursery until Covid shut down gatherings at her church. Her greatest joy and pride were her kids and grandkids. She celebrated every moment of success, encouraged them in the valleys and never missed an opportunity for an extra hug, I love you, and I am proud of you.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gateway Church on July 29, 2023 at 4:00 PM with a light dinner to follow. Gateway is located at 25314 Zube Rd, Hockley, TX 77447  (www.gatewaytexas.org). Her ashes will return to the Rocky Mountains where she found the most peace in mid August 2023.

Barbara was extremely proud of her daughter’s work with the Waller Pregnancy Center. It gave her great joy to support this ministry. A memorial fund has been set up to honor her legacy for families, babies and LIFE in HIS glory. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made at https://secure.fundeasy.com/ministrysync/event/?e=25890

Or by mail to Waller Pregnancy Care Center PO Box 49 Waller Texas 77484.

The family wishes to send a special thank you for all of the prayers and support so graciously poured out now and in the times to come.
