Ashley’s life, filled with love and warmth, was a shining beacon in the lives of her family, friends, and community.
From an early age, Ashley captivated those around her with her radiant smile and infectious spirit. A proud graduate of Cy Fair High School in 2017, she blossomed into a woman whose heart and talents were as vast as her dreams. A fixture in the hospitality scene, Ashley served with grace and dedication, touching many with her kindness and professionalism.
Ashley’s passions were many and diverse. She delighted in swimming and cherished the time she spent with her beloved dogs and close-knit family. A true lover of life’s simple joys, Ashley adored concerts, relished anything girly, and was known for her crafty and creative nature. Her laughter and creativity illuminated every room, bringing joy to those lucky enough to cross her path.
One of the fondest memories gathered by those who loved her is of Ashley’s endearing innocence and humor—she once thought the mall security was animal control, a story that perfectly captured her unique and joyful perspective on life. Above all, it was her smile that remains most unforgettable—a beacon of light and hope that stayed with all who loved her.
Ashley’s family and friends remember her with profound love. She is survived and deeply missed by her mother, Wendy Bagley; her father, Bret Sotelo, and step-mother, Geneva Sotelo; her devoted fiancé, Kendell Staggs; and her siblings, James Sotelo, Taylore Johnson, and CJ Rogers. Together, they continue to hold her memory close, finding strength in the love and life she shared.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, located at 15415 N. Eldridge Parkway, Cypress, TX 77429. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor Ashley’s remarkable life, to share stories, and to find comfort in one another.
Ashley Samantha Sotelo’s spirit, radiant and full of grace, lives on in the hearts of those she touched. Though her journey on this earth has ended, her vibrancy, compassion, and creative soul will never be forgotten. She was truly the best person, and her beautiful smile will forever light the way for all who loved her.
