Anna R. Nillen, 93, passed away on April 16, 2018 in Spring, Texas. She was born on November 4, 1924 in Pula, Yugoslavia.
She met U.S. Army Sgt. Lester J. Nillen in 1943 when he was stationed in Naples, Italy, and were married in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Naples on April 22, 1945.
Anna was among the first ship load of war brides that entered the United States in November of 1945 and became a naturalized citizen on March 10, 1949.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years - Lester J. Nillen, her father - Giovanni Razza, mother - Lucia Billieh Razza, brothers – Giovanni & Joseph, and sister – Maria.
She is survived by her son - Robert J. Nillen; 3 grandsons – Scott, Matthew, & Bradley; and 8 grandchildren – Haley, Mattie, Cameron, Rylee, Lacey, Anna, Emma, & Dexter. Anna is also survived by her sister - Rosina and her brother – Paulo.
